a bit about our session
How do I secure my booking?
So, you've reviewed my style, gone through my packages and have decided it's time to book in! Simply go to "contact and book" and send me an enquiry form including your desired package date and location (be sure to tell me all your hopes, dreams and visions too! I wanna hear it all!). Once I have received your enquiry I will be in touch via email and we will configure your contract, questionnaire and invoice. After your questionnaire is filled out, your contract is signed and your 50% non-refundable deposit is paid your date and booking is secured and all yours!
What does a session with you look like?
I endeavour to be at least 15 minutes early to explore our location a little and configure my camera's settings. Upon your arrival, I will explain a few things, tell you about the cool places I've found and we will set off on a wee adventure. I am ALWAYS clicking away, making sure to capture the little moments. It often takes a while for clients to warm up and by the time we've reached spot X everything is a lot calmer. If you are after posed portraits, I aim to begin these sooner rather than later, it helps loosen things up and kids are often ready to run free as soon as we begin! After prompts and poses with lots of giggles in between, the raw, candid moments come out to play. As stated earlier, I am constantly clicking away, capturing the unseen, and this is how magic is made! Even once our session is finished, the camera shutter isn't. I will continue to capture until we part ways. We bid one another farewell and safe travels and I sit in my car swooning over our session for 10 minutes before heading home to swoon some more.
How should we dress for our family session?
I do have client guides to help with great ideas on what to wear which I send along with your booking form! I always suggest dressing comfortably for the weather, there's nothing worse than having too many layers on a hot day, and not enough on a cold day. Warm, neutral, muted earthy tones are gorgeous and all the rage at the moment which I loooove as well. However, it's all about YOU! Wear whatever makes YOU feel good!
what do you bring to our session?
I am a major overpacker! In tow I keep my main camera and lens, my backup camera and a couple more lenses, a speaker to set the tone, a few props, a change of clothes, a towel and if required or requested, my (slowly growing) client wardrobe! Golly me the kitchen sink may as well jump in as well. I'd say I bring the magic, but that's all you. I'm here to capture that!
What’s the best time to have a maternity session?
The best time frame is between 30 weeks and 35 weeks, before carrying around the beautiful little babe within you gets a tad too tedious and if you're anything like me, before the swelling reaaaally kicks in! hahaha
What should I bring to our session?
To keep things on the safe side, especially with beach shoots and children, I'd suggest bringing a towel and a change of clothes! Snacks for the kids (and adults lol), a beautiful attitude and your best smile!
When's the best time to have a session with a newborn?
Preferably within the first 4 weeks of their little life! This way I can capture the gorgeous newborn characteristics before they (so quickly) grow out of them. I understand that so early in your little one's life is a scary moment regarding outsider germs, so I make sure to RAT test prior to our session and will also wear a mask. With all of this being said, whenever you are ready for your newborn shoot, I am too!
How and when do I receive my photos?
Within an average of 2 weeks, and definitely no longer than 5!
Your images will come home safely with me and I will excitedly and enthusiastically spend lots of time culling, editing, revisiting and re-editing them until they are ready. Once ready, I will email you your private, password protected online gallery will usually be ready to view, download and share.
